Some days, showing up feels like a quiet kind of courage. You open your app, hit “go live,” or type into your Discord space—and in that moment, you’re holding space not just for others, but for yourself too. It’s beautiful. But it can be quietly exhausting.

I used to think presence meant being constantly available, constantly creating. But I’ve come to learn that gentle mindfulness is less about doing, and more about being. It’s the breath I take before going live. It’s the pause before responding. It’s the decision to log off—not out of avoidance, but out of care.

In spaces where performance is often rewarded, choosing presence becomes an act of resistance… and tenderness.
